Today marks 50 days until the wedding. Yes I have a countdown going- I started at day 94. We’re moving pretty quickly towards the end of the countdown. And yesterday is the one year anniversary to mark the evening that Dan proposed to me. How exciting!

I wake up this morning to this:

Even though I’ll be opening loads of presents later tonight. I really want one of these. right. now….. I want one. or two. or maybe a whole little clan or army of cute sock monkeys.

I remember when I was little we played a mean trick on Aunt Maryanne. She had a “traditional” sock monkey that she loved with all her heart. We put it in the freezer. I am so sorry Mr. Sock Monkey.

I was listening/singing this song a few moments ago while quilting. I love this song- Billie Joel was my first concert and it was amazing. But I got to thinking. What would a modern day “We Didn’t Start the Fire” entail? What would be 2007’s Psycho? British Politician Sex?  Wheel of Fortune? Communist Bloc?ect….

Let’s put out brains together and figure out a new song for Billie.

The Wedding is set for September 29th, 2007. I sat down for hours yesterday and made ALL the invitations by myself. Now all that is left is the RSVP cards and addressing the envelopes. Go me!

I’m barely working but my days have been crazy and tiring. Doing Wedding 24/7 and the other times working on weeding out and packing so that I am able to move after the wedding.

Dan’s at World Vision in Seattle for the summer. He’s an official working man and is currently looking for a job for after the internship– any suggestions? He’ll need a job since we’ll soon be married, crazy hooligans.

The one and only bridal shower is set for July 30th— I can’t wait to open presents! I’m going to take my hot pink stripper chair (”Princess Chair”) to the shower- it’s going to my throne.

Then Monday is BIRTHDAY ACTIVITY Day! With all-day birthday events– since Monday, the 7th is the official day.

Oh and in between all of this I still have to:

1. Finish moving into my new apartment

2. Write my paper on Effects on and Coping Mechanisms for Children of Divorce

3. Study and take my Politics final

4. Write up a Psychology summary

5. Finish Psychology discussions

All for Tuesday and Wednesday…..

Tons of pictures will be posted of the soon to be infamous Rice-Crispy Castle, home-made party pinata,  twister, duck-duck-goose, pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey and whatever else I feel like taking pictures of when the celebrations occur.

The apartment doesn’t have internet use- but it does have a crazy lion’s footed tub and an old-school refrigerator with an ACTUAL ice box!!! Oh and it also has a nice assortment of BUGS that we are currently trying to KILL WITH GREAT FORCE– Rachel actually used a whole can of Raid in her bedroom last night in a matter of minutes- I walked on the carpet this morning in her room then went back out into the kitchen and could see my footsteps in Raid juice- Nasty!!

Birthday is coming up- Dan’s throwing me a little kid themed birthday party!!! And he is making me a rice-crispy castle cake and I’ll have a tiara.

SOUTHBRIDGE, Mass. –Ryan Fitzgerald is unemployed, lives with his father and has a little bit of time on his hands.

So, he decided to offer his ear, to anyone who wants to call. After posting a video with his cell phone number on YouTube on Friday, the 20-year-old told The Boston Globe he has received more than 5,000 calls and text messages.

Fitzgerald said he wanted to “be there,” for anyone who needed to talk. “I never met you, but I do care,” a spiky-haired Fitzgerald said into the camera on his YouTube posting.

He planned to take and return as many calls he could, but on Monday at 5 a.m., his T-Mobile cell phone payment will begin charging him for his generosity when he is no longer eligible for free weekend minutes.

“I haven’t quite figured out what I’m going to do about it,” he said. “Come Monday, no way I’m going to just hang up on people and say, ‘I don’t have the minutes.’”

Fitzgerald, who said people consider him “easy to talk to,” was inspired by Juan Mann. YouTube video clips of Mann offering “Free Hugs” to strangers became wildly popular on the user-controlled Internet site.

“Some people’s own mothers won’t take the time to sit down and talk with them and have a conversation,” Fitzgerald said. “But some stranger on YouTube will. After six seconds, you’re not a stranger anymore, you’re a new kid I just met.”
